Important fee update - 1st October 2026

Dear Valued Patients,

We would like to inform you that there will be a small increase in our consultation fees, effective 1st October 2026. This adjustment reflects rising operational costs and overall increase in general inflation. Additionally, Medicare rebates increased 2.6% on 1st July 2026, and practice fees remained unchanged at that time. From 1st October 2026, surcharges will no longer apply for card transactions.

This change is necessary to ensure we can continue providing the high-quality care and dedicated service you have come to expect from our doctors and team.

We remain committed to your health and well-being and appreciate your understanding as we make this update to maintain the standard of care you deserve.

Patient Billing and Financial Policy

Thank you for choosing our practice. We are committed to providing you with quality healthcare while maintaining transparent communication regarding our fees. Please review our billing policy below.

💳 Fees and Payment

• Payment is required in full at the time of your consultation or service.
• We accept cash, EFTPOS, and major credit cards.
• For eligible services, we can process your Medicare rebate directly on the spot via Tyro/EasyClaim if you have a savings or cheque card linked to your bank account.

🔎 Mixed and Private Billing

• We operate on a mixed/private billing structure. Standard consultation fees are set independently of Medicare rebates.
• Out-of-pocket gap fees are the responsibility of the patient.
• If you are undergoing a procedure or management plan that incurs additional out-of-pocket costs, we will seek your informed financial consent prior to proceeding.

⚠️ Bulk Billing

• Bulk billing is available at the discretion of the practitioner for eligible services such as care planning and health assessments, subject to our practice guidelines.
• Additional consumable costs (such as specialised dressings) cannot be charged separately during a bulk-billed service.

📊 Overdue Accounts

• Accounts not settled on the day may be issued an invoice with a 7-day payment term.
• Unresolved accounts could result in future appointments requiring prepayment.

Billing Policy intention

To provide patients with a clear and consistent billing policy and to ensure patients are aware of the costs associated with the services they receive. All fees are payable in full at the time of visit by cash, credit card or EFTPOS. We use Medicare Online and TYRO Easyclaim to promptly process your Medicare Rebate. If you have registered your bank details with Medicare, your rebate from Medicare will be applied to those details. NOTE: It is your responsibility to lodge bank details with Medicare. Patients without a Medicare card will be requested to pay the full amount for the consultation on the day of the visit.
